Do you think that sometimes we talk about the Bible more than we read and study it? Head knowledge can be very deceptive.
''T'was grace that taught my heart to fear. '' ring a bell? Pretty popular hymn. I heard an upbeat version of it on the radio today. There's upbeats of everything these days, (scratched my head to look for an extra out of the box example; I got nothin') Anywayyyy, I dwelt on those 8 words for a couple of minutes. That is actually scripture, Titus 2:11. The grace of God has appeared with salvation for all people, instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous and godly way in the present age....... I always like to say that deliberate sin is more than a ''taking advantage of grace'' to an even worse case scenario which is; simply not understanding the intensity of grace as a whole in and of itself. That we do not deserve redemption or eternal life but grace came through Christ or rather Christ came in grace: also scripture, John 1:14 and 16. My point is, God's grace causes men to be transform

Dear Child of God.

Dear child of God,  This one is for you. A while ago in my life, I knew something was wrong. Later when I settled down, I mean days after, I realized that my heart was walking away. The centre of my thoughts and feelings and emotions and dreams and visions, was walking away. Not because it changed destination. But because it had distractions. Dear child of God, Never let the loudness of life or rather the noise rob your heart of path. let it run, ablaze. An untamable fire, For it's savior, dear child of God. Love, Your sister.

Do you?

If ever and whenever the senselessness of things and this world encroach my me space, my peace and joy and trust, may His arms of sovereignty wrap themselves around and all over me. I know no other comfort. Do you?

By the river.

Was sitting by the river one morning. A lot of warmth on my face from the American sun, my feet and hands though, freezing. So  appreciating reflection and ducks, I turned to my right and watched a goose rest it's wing back in place. In that same split second I remembered that God knows every goose, maybe has a name for it even, James. Then two tiny birds chirping landed on the porch...okay back to James. So, banking on the awesomeness of God from that angle and perspective ( so sovereign in that He knows every bird on every mountain and every cow on every hill or that no sparrow lands without His knowledge) should make my faith ''crazy.''      I should believe that God can do the impossible always and will. But do I? or should I? Or maybe another question to think is :is just because He can, a guarantee that He will? Face to face with ''unanswered prayer" or ''selective'' miracles. I see myself daring to walk on forbidden ''

Growing but still a child.

Made a friend, a good friend that I have seen every other day for the past week. She is 16 months old. Our friendship is a week old. What makes me think we are good friends? I get the biggest smile from her  among all the people always around her, also her grandma is convinced that the little girl really likes me. Severally I  have sat next to her and her mother over a meal. She is the cutest thing with four favorite words: pease (please), puppy, daddy, papa. And over dinner she will say pease every five seconds reaching out her tiny arm towards her mother's plate. And her mom will say looking at her plate wondering what her daughter specifically wants, "what do you want sweetie?''  And because I always finish my food first I spend the rest of dinner observing. And I think to myself how accurate an analogy. More often than not if you have barely grown in your relationship with Jesus will it be about asking for things. For more and more. And I am not implying that as y

Ripple

God speaks. God teaches. God places things on the hearts of men. May the ripple of these spread as long as our life spans shall. May we be envisioned with You, our eyes in sight of the glory of You. "Break our hearts for what breaks yours. Everything we are for your kingdom's cause" Towards things you care for let our hearts be ever soft. And ready. Our lives only for You that we will live or even die for you. That I will live or even die for You.

FOR GOD.

We overrate our importance veritably. Overestimating the reason for our existence as daring to place it within the group of us in ourselves. I often think it is about me and my story. We do. But we did not create ourselves and so our greatness or the very illusion of it cannot be attributed to only us. After lessons on sovereignty and the real picture, GOD. Who is and was and will be always, outside of time and space and all things made, I am in myself shaken to live for such a cause.

WORDS

W ORDS. For from the abundance internally is outward speech. Words are mind. Capsules holding our minds. Mind is who we are and we are our minds. We are our words. Our words make us. As a man thinketh, so is he, and a man says what he thinks; vessels of our mental state. It is said of the tongue; powerful, creating things and destructive too. ''Mind what you say, season your speech,'' because we are our words. Christ is the Word of God, as is God Himself. Stemming from the mind of God, being God encompassing His very being. Christ, the embodiment of the mind of God; His thoughts and meditations put across. When we see Christ, we see the mind of God as He is the WORD which is mind. When we see creation we see the mind of God since He spoke all things into existence and through Him all things are made.
